Founded by a former professional soccer player, Oluseyi Famodu, and a former UofM Golden Gopher soccer Alum, Omonike Thomason, Soccer Fun-Da-Mentals has finally arrived in the Minneapolis/St. Paul area in early 2021. Seyi and Nike (as they are called by family and friends) recognized that the sport's youngest players have been largely ignored and underserved by the soccer community in America.
While club soccer has grown exponentially over the years, options for young children to learn soccer in a professional environment have not. Soccer Fun-Da-Mentals offers parents the flexibility to choose classes and sessions that best fit the demands of today's busy family schedules. At the end of the day, we want soccer to be FUN, and you can't spell Fun-Da-Mentals without the FUN!
Our staff of highly trained professionals are parents themselves and know how important it is to provide a safe, fun learning environment for your children. Our mission is to make sure each and every child leaves our class with a smile on their face.
Not to be confused with casual soccer training at the park, we artfully created a facility designed around what we do. Whether it be our 2 spacious climate-controlled training fields, our comfortable sitting lounge (The Park Lounge), or the full-service Fuel Bar (The Corner Kick) serving smoothies and café beverages, Soccer Fun-Da-Mentals is a place you can look forward to spending time in week after week.

A Program For Every Child...and Budget
We understand that every child is unique, but the one thing they all have in common is a desire to have fun. So, no matter what your child's skill level or age, we have a training curriculum and classes to begin your journey with Soccer Fun-Da-Mentals.
At Soccer Fun-Da-Mentals, we have created five (8 weeks) sessions throughout the year. Each weekly class will be 45 minutes long and include 1 or 2 skilled trainers per pod. Enroll your child for just one session, or sign up for all five, the choice is yours. Special packages have also been created to give families a discount for enrolling in 3 or more sessions in a calendar year. Financial assistance may also be available for those in need. Flexibility and affordability are key when deciding to come "Kick It" with us.
Have a busy schedule or don't want to make any long-term commitments, a single session may be a great place to start. Your child will get personalized instruction and play fun soccer-themed games once a week for 8 weeks. Healthy exercise and great fun with new friends are in store. After finishing the session, you may renew for the next or wait till a later date, but the memories will remain for the entire year.

Our most popular program by far. The Champions Package allows families the option to do 3 sessions congruently, or space them out throughout the year. This plan is great for a child who desires continual learning and is better served with reinforced training. This option gives your child a chance to try out the class once and see if it's for them. Drop-in on a class during our regular sessions and upgrade later to a full 8-week session. Have a busy schedule or don't want to make any long-term commitments? A single class may be a great place to start.
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Does it matter if my child has played soccer?
No, in fact, we encourage children who have never tried the sport, or any sport for that matter, to give it a try. We truly believe that after just one class, they will be hooked. We place kids in class pods that best fit their age and skill level.
Can I Purchase Soccer Fun-Da-Mentals Merchandise?
Yes, we currently have a limited quantity of hats, shirt, jerseys, coffee cups, water bottles, and soccer balls available for purchase in the training center. Items can be special ordered and picked up at the facility or shipped directly to your home.
How Do I Become a Part Of the Amazing Soccer Fun-Da-Mentals Team?
We are always keeping our eyes open for great team members and trainers. Our staff must have a great personality, know how to communicate with children, have a basic love and understanding of soccer, and most importantly be fun. Do I need to attend with my child or children?
If your child is 3 and under, one parent or authorized guardian will be required to be on the field at all times. **Please Note** If you leave the facility during your child's training, you are required to be back no later then 5 minutes before their class has ended.
Does my location matter?
Our Flagship Training Facility is NOW OPEN in the Twin Cities South Metro serving the communities of Belle Plain, Jordan, Chaska, Chanhassen, Eden Prairie, Shakopee, Savage, Bloomington, Burnsville, and Prior Lake. Families living outside those communities are still welcome to enroll and may pre-register for the opening of our second and third training centers opening around the Twin Cities in the near future.
Can I Use the Fuel Bar Without Being Enrolled in a Session?
Yes, but we will be closely monitoring the number of people within the training center at any given time. Because of the need for social distancing, and also to make the services available to those who are training or waiting for children, certain restrictions will be implemented at managements discretion.
Is it true that Soccer Fun-da-Mentals also has a Yoga Studio and Party Room?
Yes, it's true. Our state of that art facility allows us to use our spaces for multiple functions. Our smallest training area has a cork flooring and is used various mornings and evenings for Yoga Classes. We also have the perfect space to host your child's Birthday Party or Business Function. What if I have a child over the age of 12 or a middle/high school player who would like training? Do you offer any programs or classes for them?
We offer skills and technical training for kids of all ages and skill levels. We also offer "Private Lessons" for the player who wants to get the absolute most out of their game. If you have a child or young adult over the age of 12 and would like more information about classes/training sessions that fit this age group, please contact us for details.
What does my child need to bring to class?
All that we ask is that your child brings comfortable fitness attire, a water bottle, closed-toe shoes, and leave the rest to us. We have all the training tools and gear onsite. Soccer has always been recognized around the world as the one of the easiest and most affordable games to play.
Are there restrooms onsite?
Yes, we have 2 large unisex restrooms that are cleaned and sanitized frequently during the day and again after closing.
